CINERGY™ Conflict Management Coaching Workshop
Supporting someone experiencing conflict — whether you are a coach, manager, HR professional, colleague, or family member — can be demanding. People in conflict often feel overwhelmed, lose a sense of control, and struggle to communicate or make effective decisions.
CINERGY™ is grounded in coaching principles, neuroscience, and conflict theory. It is a strengths-based, empowering approach that recognises each client as the expert in their own life. The process helps individuals regain clarity, confidence, and choice — and builds practical skills for managing interpersonal disputes and difficult conversations effectively.
In addition to individual and team coaching, Catherine delivers a four-day intensive CINERGY™ Conflict Management Coaching workshop for professionals who wish to coach others. This highly practical programme teaches the 7-stage CINERGY™ process and enables participants to begin coaching clients immediately. It includes extensive mentored skills practice, a comprehensive workbook, training materials, post-course support, and CINERGY™ registration.

- Develop skills in conflict dynamics and coaching principles
- Practise extensively as coach, client, and observer using real-life examples

MII Accredited Mediation Programme
The MII Accredited Mediation Programme is delivered by Catherine O’Connell of Blossom Development and Andrea O’Neill of ACON. It is accredited by the Mediators' Institute of Ireland (MII). The course runs over eight full days in Spring 2026, with a maximum of eight participants to ensure a high level of individual attention (one trainer/coach per four participants). At the end of the programme, participants complete a competency assessment. Successful candidates may then apply to register with the MII as Certified Mediators eligible to practise.
The programme equips participants with the knowledge, skills, self-awareness, and professional standards required to intervene constructively and mediate in situations of conflict across workplace, community, and organisational settings. It is suitable for leaders, managers, HR professionals, employees, and those wishing to specialise in conflict intervention and communication.
- Develop a clear understanding of how conflict arises, escalates, and impacts individuals and organisations — including insight into their own conflict style
- Expand their range of conflict behaviours to respond effectively to different contexts
- Gain a strong grounding in core mediation concepts, models, processes, and principles
- Build mediation skills to the competency level required for MII Certified assessment
- Increase awareness of personal triggers and biases and learn how to manage them professionally
- Learn how to create an environment of trust, rapport, and empowerment when facilitating people in conflict
The programme combines theory, demonstration, and extensive mentored skills practice to ensure participants are fully prepared for professional mediation practice.
