MEDIATION AND FACILITATED CONVERSATIONS

Blossom Development offer both face to face and online mediation to individuals and people experiencing conflict in the workplace, with families and groups experiencing conflict and those who may have difficult decisions to make and situations to manage. Catherine also acts provides mediation for people who have decided to end their partnership or marriage

Catherine is a mediator and trainer accredited by the Mediator's Institute of Ireland (www.themii.ie) and is guided by their code of ethics and practice.

Mediation is a process where people who wish to resolve a conflict(s) that is causing distress choose to meet with the facilitation of a mediator(s) in order to work through issues and reach resolution. It is a voluntary, confidential process that provides a safe arena and a forward momentum whilst allowing the people who have chosen to come time and space to express themselves, share information and ask questions that are important to them.

One of the most important attribute of a mediator is to be multi-partial; to be on each party's side with the hope that the process will be useful to all the parties. To be able to have empathy is a second prerequisite. Empathy and non-judgement will help people trust the mediator and feel safe. My wish is to offer parties a safe space to figure out the best course of action for themselves and for others who are impacted by what's happened.
